Hello Everybody,

i have two questions which hopefully somebody can answer:

First question:

- If i have a PC and a TG9x with the ER9x- Ardupilot Firmware, is it possible to connect both the PC (Mission Planner) as well as the Remote Control (TG9x) to the Ardupilot at the same time ?

-> E.g. by running a Cable from the TG9x to the PC and using the same modem ? - In other words, can mavlink be used multipoint ? - Or is it only point to point ? - If so, how would i wire TX and RX ?

Second question:

- Is there a software version for the ER9x which supports also rolling switches ? - I have tried the normal ER9x, but it seems not to support e.g. to use the TRN switch as rolling switch like the SW version from GerardV. - Anyone got an idea ?

I would really highly appreciate an answer on this.

Cheers

Florian

Looks like I am receiving data.

I am set to 57kb

Now I'm getting 0x55 0x03 ......etc

here is pics.

Screen 1 and 2....no heartbeat symbol (*)

Hi,

How do you solve your problem before this ? UART Baud rate or TTL Level ?

Not receiving heartbeat :

Really I dont know, to investigate we need more dump,

you can use "Free serial port monitor 3.31", but do not use MegaPlanner to generate data but a dumb terminal.

More pics.

Where do you want to see the data from ? Also, maybe the data stream is too fast for the er9x.

GOT IT !!!

It was the baud rate. When I changed the APM2 and all the Xbee's to 38kb it all started working.

Now to find out why 56kb won't work.

Earl

IDK if I said this. I am using the purple APM2 board.

The 57kb problem must be some little timing error. I will try to trace it down.

When I get time I will post the source code for mavlink on the er9x site if it is ok with you.

I will call it er9xMavLink

Now it's back to school Monday. Spring break is over. Hard on a 65yo that went back to school to become an astrophysicist !

Earl

Great Earl,

It work now on APM2 and xbee.

Yes you can put this code on er9x, but it work on ArduCopter, not on ArduPlane.

I am younger than you, only 52 springs :)

How about er9xMavLinkAC
With plane I will name it er9xMavLinkAP
Hope to get the 57kb working.
Well, I am off to my physics lab.
Earl

Yea !! Works with APM2.0 board and version 2.30 of arduplane if you change the baud rate of serial3 to 38400 !

Earl

Tried with Mission Planner 1.1.59 and Ardupilot 2.3.2 works at 38kb good.

Works at 38kb on Arducopter 2.5.3 well also.

I have not checked 57kb lately. I don't know what com library they used to compile the hex code on 2.3.2 or 2.5.3

Hope your around this weekend !

Earl

here is some pics

Hi !
I hope to get this working also with 56 k in the end as i want to use joystick control via MavLink in addition to the remote - so this will likely cause too high latency.

Unfortunately it looks like that i will get only to test this in a few days.

Lets see. Does anybody know where the sources of the GV9x are ? - I could only find hex files - or do you think the problem is only in the APM 2.0 ?

Cheers
