Hello All.
Just got my APM 2 today and got it connected, but every time I try to upload firmware, the APM2 flashes a bunch of lights and then I get an error saying It couldnt upload the firmware and the port is closed.
Using APM planner 1.1.92 on windows XP SP3.
Thanks
Scott

Did you run the installation program?
Permalink Reply by Scott VanFossen on June 8, 2012 at 3:05pm I ran an older version (1.1.78?) and upgraded to .92. I just tried it on my windows 7 box and I am connecting now, but that doesnt help when I need to use the laptop in the field

Permalink Reply by Michael Pursifull on June 8, 2012 at 4:48pm This is just an uneducated guess, but I'd suspect a difference between the XP and Win7 like they are running different versions of .NET? You might want to check that. I've never run MP on XP. If it is not that, I wonder if the USB-serial driver is working the same.... I'd install the Arduino IDE and see if I could manually upload an image. Just some ideas to help diagnose where the issue is...
try a diffrent usb port, my guess is its browning out.

That was it. Tried a different port and it worked great.
Thank you!
