Hi!
I'm super new here and to drones in general. I have a quadcopter kit from China - fairly basic frame / kkmulticopter board thing - everything was going fine: building, calibration etc - only thing I had left to do was put the heat shrink on the ESC / Motor plugs.
Should have done that first - you can probably guess where this is going... Inevitable short.
Just wondering a few things: I'm assuming the ESC is dead - but is the motor probably gonna have to be replaced to?
Also - is it a major problem having mismatched ESC's? I can get a replacement that's the same amp / voltage etc but to get the same one is gonna take as long as it's gonna take fro China unless I fork out a lot for a full set from the UK which I'd really rather not do for obvious reasons.
Any advice beyond "you're an idiot who should have put the heat shrink on first"? Because I know that now :-)
