Extending 5.8 Ghz Cloverleaf Antennas, is it okay?

I am using the 3DR LiveView Monitor (Black Pearl) that has two cloverleaf antennas on top. I have mounted it to a pole and am wondering if it is okay to run antenna RPSMA extension cables and mount the clover leafs higher up the pole? I was going to use 10 ft RPSMA extension cables and then mount them about 36' apart on a cross member 10 feet up the pole. Is this okay? will it help? or will it ruin the signal? Antenna physics is such a mystery to me...

Thanks,

Matt
