Hi,

I think I have raised this question quite a few times before, with no answer surprisingly. This is the last time I am giving a shot with this question.

Can I use an external SD card with the APM- 1 board?

If so, how can I use it, do I need to solder something? The IMU board is busy communicating with the processor board on the SPI bus. SD card also needs an SPI bus...

Looking forward to a possible solution.

Thanks.

  • Hi

Did you have any luck in external datalogging?

I am trying to read the packets sent via the telemetry port using a microcontroller which will format the packets into CSV and save on a uSD card.

So far I am not successful. I wasn't able to get any legible data on the telemetry port. The MAVlink connects at 57600 baudrate. I have connected another RS232 cable from the transmitting radio to the PC which tries to capture all the data that is sent.

One of the manuals said the radio communicates using 9 bit data length and 2 stop bits. Is it true? Maybe this is the reason why I am unable to get anything legible because the UART interface on my PC does not have an option for 9-bit data length.

Is there any description available for the packet format so that I can convert it to CSV format?

    Thanks
