Failed to Upload Firmware

I have Mission Planner 1.2.92 installed on a windows XP service pack 3 machine with .Net4 installed. When I connect my APM2.6 I am unable to upload the Arducopter firmware. I get the following error.

Failed to download new firmware: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x8007042C):

The dependency service or group failed to start. (Exception from HRESULT:0x8007042C) at System.Management.ThreadDispatch.Start()

I am able to see the board in windows device manager as Mega 2560 connect to port 5. I can also connect to the APM with Mavlink and get real time flight data back. This works when I select port 5 or it even works when i use auto select. I also see it connected via the terminal.

The problem is I continually get an error when I try to upload the firmware. What am I missing? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
