We are company in Switzerland, Europe, experienced in thermal cameras since 10 years. We have developed something that might be interesting for you.
We have designed a PCB-Board which fits on the TAU 2 160/320/640 and offer the following functionality:
- USB-10-Pol Connector / same style like on the GoPro Hero Action Camera. Anybody who already uses a GoPro Hero on the UAV can keep using the same cable and attach the FLIR Thermal Camera to it. Plug & Play solution.
- Implemeted Trigger by micocontroller to make snapshots on the TAU while flying
with our board the FLIR camera is easily integrated into existing UAV Plattforms.

we are using the storage on the Camera. in the moment we store 3 Pictures as we use 14-Bit.
In the next generation in spring, we can change from 14 to 8 Bit so we can have up to 20 in 320x240 Pixel stored on board on the camera.

Are the snapshots stored in one of the three available memory areas in the TAU itself (limited to three) aka . just command the camera to take one shot at a time,
- or do you actually store them so you can take much more than 3 ?
