Flying Wing, Glider, 2lb payload, good sized internal bay needed!!

Hi Guys

I need a fixed wing (flying wing) electric powered airplane which is capable of carring about 2lbs of payload. Has to have a good sized internal bay for carring electronics, can you guys make an suggestions? OH yeah and I need a prebuilt body, ARF ( doesn't have to come with electronics just the aircraft body ).

The guys at ritewingrc.com are making something like that. Check out this thread.
Thanks Chris, looks like what I need, I'll give these guys a call. Oh I sent you a message if you could take a look and get back to me that would be great.

** Anyone else.
We have two wing designs we are building up.. See our "Sentinel" and Hawk pages in the aerosight.com website..
Am still making the molds.
50" wing and a 80" wing version
Just look at the Sentinel looks like a nice plane, what the price on the plane? Is it ARF?
What's your budget?
I am new to doing my own fiberglass molds but its coming out ok actually. Not sure what I will charge for these quite yet. I may just supply a kit or something.. We have soo much going on that I have been slowly building this project. Last night I finished a left and right half mold process. Mold may have gotten warped somehow though..

Anyways the ide is that a guy can do a FPV camera in the nose *An add on) and a belly cam. The belly will be swapped out and the payload is attached to that belly pan for easy swaps etc. The motor is now on the Vertical tal like a seaplane so that it can be hand launched with no prop on the finger issues...
I like the plane, looks good, don't know about the fiber glass though, foam would probably fit my project well, I need the test platform to be cheap and I will be needing a camera and places to put range sensors, one in the nose and maybe one in the belly can your plane accomidate that? The sensors are really small.

Hi

Well I'd like to keep the cost of the plane to under $500, but for the high end of that range I expect a lot, like a custom designed wing ARF. I'd love a B2 bomber design, I really love that plane
Hello,
The current small 50" "Zagi" type winged version is basically a 4" tube but the advantage of doing it glassed is that its all hollow so that means no bulkheads taking from the storage area. A guy can cut in access panels and glue in brackets or floors or walls as needed. Its actually very light. I havent mocked the nose yet as I am trying to design a small ball nose that is optically correct. Unfortunately to get a sphere under 4" is hard to do. Most are hobby based sphers and offer a warped image..

The design will allow for wings of the average cord to be used. We are using the "Slinger" wing from a hobby store as they are ARF and can be bought as needed. The larger version is a 6" tube and a 80" wing and again, ALL of that area is hollow and usable stowspace.. The belly pan is removable and customizable. We have debated on offering retracts on them or leaving them as belly landers. The belly landers though can tend to scratch up the plexi belly window which is an area we are working on fixing.

Any suggestions from you on this design is helpful as we plan on offering them soon and want to meet needs. It has plenty of cargo area and is tough. The basic idea was, throw away wings to save money in a crash, but protect the high end electronics from moisture and damage by glassing it.

I wonder how big of a payload you could carry if you made a plane like that on a larger scale...

I was thinking about getting an X8.
