Hi. I just found your site. I'm impressed with the amazing information shared here.
I chose to buy an Xtreem FlyEye for a couple of hundred bucks, as a first time user. All I want to do is to take aerial videos of farming/grazing property .. and perhaps check fence and stock conditions in the process.
After having checked for overhead power lines and such, I launched the device from a very open paddock. Well, I didn't expect the drone to shoot off like a rocket. I wasn't quick enough to engage 'hover' or 'headless' mode. I kept fighting to bring it back via the joysticks all the time attempting to avoid the tall trees in it's path. Given the trajectory, height and the fact that I lost sight of it, I surmise that it must have landed in the well watered neighboring creek, way beyond the published 100m control range. To add salt to the wound, it rained all that night. Still can't find it, yet it's most likely useless by now anyhow.
