Quote from the manual:
"If you have a geofence you should be inside it at takeoff. If you have a minimum altitude set, you should be above it at takeoff."
It seems to be difficult... Takeoff at for instance 6 m when minimum altitude is 4 m?

Thanks for the advice! Your approach makes the video capture of the touchdown much easier. My solution was LIM_ALT_MIN = -4m, but then the touchdown location would be less predictable.
No more jokes. Activation of the geofence (LIM_ENABLED=1) by RC after takeoff, when the multicopter is inside the fence?

Permalink Reply by James on July 31, 2012 at 10:01am i dont have the documentation in front of me now, but remember the same thing stood out when i read it the first time. however, on the second read i noticed that the minimum altitude comes into effect once youve cleared that boundary. so you can take off from below minimum.

that is what the user expect. If it is so, it should be documented. I will test as soon as I am back from CH.
