Hi all,

I'm interested in knowing how accurate Multirotors really are (or can be) for landing on a specific point on the earth. I imagine GPS units vary in accuracy. Does anyone know if they are improving or need improvements?

I want to build a UAV with an autopilot system that can fly to a very specific landing pad on the ground, and I'm not sure a GPS unit can do that. I know that there are people experimenting with on-board optical sensors for object recognition, but is there another way? Like some kind of signal transmitter on the landing pad that can transmit to something else on the UAV, like a Pixhawk hardware plugin that will improve accuracy of landing?

Let me know what you think!!
