does the IMU CLI test work on either AP with the APM_1.2 zip version?

Yes the CLI test works fine. I found the problem. The Mega is putting out ascii and the IMU flat is putting out binnary.

I guess IMUtest works on binary now?

Hi,

If you want to test APM IMU, you can set the GCS link as the USB port and use the HK GCS artificial horizon?

You can also (i believe) see the raw serial data to.

Greg, I know you asked this question a long time ago, but just for anyone reading this in the future. The APM's IMU board does not output the IMU Binary Protocol that the ArduIMU V2 put out...so my testing application doesn't work for it. I suppose I could edit my test app to run on MAVlink or APM binary (not obsolete)...but the best option is to either use Michael Obourne's Planner in MAVlink GCS mode or download my GCS: http://code.google.com/p/happykillmore-gcs/
