Heavilift motor hesitation - advise please !

Hi,

I am looking for the right choice for 8 motors for an heavylift Octo.

The frame is carboncore Octo 100cm, with megaradius gimbal.

Total weight predicted - about 7kg, maybe up to 9kg with payload and extra batteries.

I need some advice choosing the right motor for the above needs-

I know the AXI are the world's best motors, but at 1000$+ for 8 motors, this is far away over my budget or what i would want to spend on motors only.

The G10 motors are ideally priced ! although i can also accept the MT2914 cost.

The question is - why should i prefer the MT2814 over the Turnigy G10 ?

Users reported the G10 to be able to pull 2400 grams of thrust at 100%, that is more than enough to let me hover at 50%
 - so i am not worried.

The MT2814 is rated at max. continuous 220w which is quite at the limit. I'm afraid it's too low.

maybe i should go for the MT2826?

Turnigy G10 810kv  (total 200$+)

T-MOTOR MT-2814-11 710kv  (total 400$+)

AXI 2814/20 (total 1000$+)

700-800kv is a bit high for a heavylifter. You want lower kv motors and big propellers for more efficient lift.

I use W4822 490kv motors with good results (15" propeller and 4S lipo)

    10kg AUW lift test
