Trex450 Loiter test with Arducopter 2.0.50Beta from Randy Mackay on Vimeo.

This is from some time ago now but that's basically where I've gotten to.  It would probably be better with a UBLOX gps instead of the mediatek which is all we had at the time.

Wow, thanks guy's , very very nice.

One more to the list...

Jeff, were you trying to hover, or were you trying to fly it around?  If that was you hovering, then you must be having the same problem the rest of us have.

That was me goofing around, if it quits raining I'll shoot a shorter video so you can see the quality of the hover (I've been learning to hover my unassisted flybar 250 so I'll try hard to just let the APM do the work :-).

If you look at my video, you should see what to expect.  It'll hover hands off, just with the wind pushing it around or a tiny tiny bit of drift.  When I took my hands off, that's not Loiter.

Being that I my self had a hard time finding any video's on youtube for the APM-Helicopters, could we possibly figure out a way to post these and make it easy to find.

I think a lot of us out here want to use APM's on our heli's but with out video's proving its working well, none wants to take the leap.

I honestly believe it would bring more into the fold of APM Helicopter flying.

Your thoughts ?

Ken

I agree, but I honestly hesitate to recommend to other people to try it at this point.  Don't get me wrong, I want people to get involved and help develop it.  But I don't find it works consistently enough that I'm going to tell somebody this thing is plug and play, that would be misleading.

That video was my best performance.  Then a couple flights later it tipped over and crashed for no obvious reason.  So I don't want to put it out there and say "This is how good it works."  Rather "This is how good it works, on a good day."

I've got a bunch of video's that could go up. I'll make it part of the evening computer time to get a few more on YouTube...

i have a lot of videos on my channel:)
