I like the  indoor dome camera!  You won't have to worry about protecting your camera and it's cheap!  Hopefully not too cheap though! LOL

If you check the specs you'll see it's pretty darn small too.  It's about the perfect size to be the nose of a pusher or dual engine plane.

Man! I wish I could just give you a big "High Five" J.Stew!  I am so excited and want to get started... I really think that I jumped the gun by ordering the Swift II right of the bat.  I have the power kit and most of the materials to put it together.  As for FPV  I might wait before getting everything (i.e. OSD, Telemetry)  I Should have done more research prior to buying it. From the videos you have shown me I see that I could have spent less money and probably been flying in less time.  I ordered every thing like 5/26/12 I guess it will be here next week??

By the way, Hobby King is out of that 9 channel TX for $55 (a very good deal).  I do need a good TX and RX.  I heard that if you go cheap on the TX and RX you could lose your plane easily.  If you know of any other website that's selling a good set please do share.

This stupid forum software just deleted my post!!!!

Anyways, this isn't a new problem, they're always out of stock.  I paid the extra $10 to backorder from the US warehouse.

Otherwise get on the email notification.  But even when they get 2,000 units in they sell out in anywhere from 15 min to 2 hours.  I kept missing this tiny window and gave up.

They sell on ebay for $100-150, which is crazy.  But they're highly in demand.  Good luck getting one.

I'd recommend something else, but the next step up is several hundred more!

I'm considering purchasing a Specktrum DX7 with a receiver, 4 servos and a switch, from the president of a local RC club here in Indiana for $200.  Is that a good deal?

I've never used anything but the 9X and a cheap Chinese 5 channel that I modded to 6, then somehow lost the damn thing.

Vernon Barry uses Spektrum gear and swears by it.

J. Stew I would like to get a 9X, but I might just get that 7X Spektrum for $200.  He's give me 4 servos, a receiver, and some other stuff to so... I think it's a good deal!  I will just have to sale it when I want to do the FPV to get more channels (mainly to cover the camera's tilt and pan functions).
