Hex PDB for a quad?

Hell, I am buying parts for my first quad, but I want the flexability to upgrade to a hex in the future. If I buy a hex PDB will I have any difficulties utilizing it for a quad?

Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.
