Hi everyone, I'm new on this forum and like to introduce myself.
My name is Thom en i live in holland. I am building a hexacopter with my associate using the ardupilot 2.5.
However we are having some difficulties getting it working. We use the walkera 2801 and they seem not to recognize eachother. the ardupilot keeps flashing the red light, doesnt turn bleu.
Is this a well known problem? or are we doing something completely wrong?
if anyone has any suggestions they are more then welcome to share.

We did actually do those things you suggested.
The problem is that we can get into mission planner, calibrate the tx, we get good measures from the gyros en (outside) we get gps fix, but when we hit the throttle the engines dont react. when we put power to the engines, via esc, they turn however.
So the problem i think is in the board. Do we need to instal a code from arduino or something? We are really stuck!!!
Permalink Reply by james sowell on October 12, 2012 at 5:32am have you tried reversing the throttle?

Permalink Reply by Thom V on October 16, 2012 at 3:20am James, thanks you for the idea, we have reversed the thottle, no response.
I'm afriad the probllem is in the outputs of the ardupilot board. in mission planner we see no results in outputs.
We haves esc's with brown, red and orange cables and have connected the orange cables to the output of apm 2.5 as this is what we have seen lots of people do online.
The A,B,C LED's on the board don't all burn. A flashes, B does nothing, C flashes and turns solid.
TX and RX LED's are flashing very rapidly all the time.
So calibrating is the problem? ( as B doesn't flash or go solid) How to solve?????
