Hi,
I've been trying to set up antenna tracking using Micro Maestro (http://www.pololu.com/catalog/product/1350)
but so far wasnt able to make servos move.
I followed these instructions: http://code.google.com/p/happykillmore-gcs/wiki/Tracking
I can control servos 0 and 1 through Pololu software.
Also tried with ssc03a driver using both pololu and mini ssc 2 protocols but no success there as well.
As soon as i move a slider to turn servo, red light (serial error) comes on.
Connected usb-to-serial out on pc directly to rs232 input on this board using only 2 pins (serial in and ground.) Powered through bec i had laying around.
Anyone got experience troubleshooting this?
Thanks

I was able to make Maestro (with external battery) running OK with HK GCS on one PC (desktop).
But not able to run on a laptop (I did try both XP/W7). Servos are responding OK on Pololu Maestro Control Center (USB Dual Port).
On the laptop, when I connect Antenna Tracking from HK GCS to the Maestro COM (not TTL) and select Calibrate, moving the pan/tilt sliders, nothing happens to servos. It should move, as I notice on PC. I did check the port communication with Free Serial Port Monitor and I did see communication when moving the sliders from Calibrate, but servos not moving. Going back on Maestro Control center, servos are moving OK by changing sliders, but not on Calibrate window.
Any idea? Should I try different ports?
As I said, all is OK running on a desktop, but not on my laptop.
Thanks, Chris
