I'm looking to start ordering parts for my quadrocopter, and hoping to get as much as possible from hobbyking to simplify ordering.
I want to use 25A or 30A ESCs flashed with the SimonK firmware - does anyone have links to specific ESCs that will support this? (ie have an atmega inside)? I'm aware that some of the Turnigy Plush range now uses SiLabs chips, thus can't be modified - however I'm not sure if any Atmega ones are still sold.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Why go through all of the trouble? Mainly the uncertainty of whether or not the ESC is compatible.

I can recommend the HobbyKing F20A. It's got an on-board resonator so has an accurate clock, unlike other ESCs which rely on the inaccurate oscillator built into the Atmega. Also, the programming pins are all in a row which makes reprogramming them MUCH easier. They have the more efficient all N-FET design, and they are one of the cheapest ESCs to boot.
I don't think the blue series has a resonator, so you will be relying on the ESC calibration to be spot on.
Thanks for the replies.
I think I'm going to go with the HobbyKing BlueSeries 30A ESC - it seems there are two versions, both of which can be flashed.

The following links may help you:
1. The rcgroups group is full of information:

2. A spreadsheet has eben created to log compatible ESCs:

I cannot attest however as to how up-to-date it is.
Good luck!
