I cannot see the drivers in Device Manager, have been through all the forums and cannot figure out my problem. I have Python 2.7 but cannot upload to my APM. Have been working this for days now. When I upload thru Arduino, I get "expected constructor, destructor, or type conversion before '(' token" and have no idea of what that means?
Then down below, I get the folowing:
AP_OpticalFlow_test.cpp: In function 'void loop()': AP_OpticalFlow_test.pde:-1: error: 'flowSensor' was not declared in this scope
Can anyone please help, thanks............Don

Happy you got it working. The devil is in the details, and trust me, we all have had those days. I think it's just either people don't understand some of the terms being used and dismiss them or just really follow along.
The whole point behind relaxpatch, is that the IDE enforces coding rules (much like english grammar) and warns you but also can prevent you from compiling. At some point it was found our code broke some rules, thus a special arduino version was posted with relaxed rules to allow the code to compile. Obviously if you update, it takes the latest rules and then no longer works with our code.
The bottom line is that many hobbies such as this one are now multi faceted in that you basically must be an expert at programming, electronics, power distribution, battery technology, and material engineering.
Kits, tutorials, and step by step guides reduce the prerequisite experience a little, but honestly, what we do is far more than I just got out of a degree.
Anyway, I got mine workign last night as well, not happy with trying to determine focus, but seemed reasonable enough to work.
Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.51 members
