Hello,
I have a IRIS+ quad and had several successful flights with it.
On my last flight I noticed a slight drift while hovering, after powering it off and back on, it would not get past the pre arm check.
Im using APM planner 2.0.15 on OSX, and after connecting I get "PreArm: Alt disparity ", then "PreArm: INS not calibrated" so I continue to start calibration.
1) Compass Calibration:
New offsets (Compass 1) are
x:-0.080 y:-6.456 z:8.365 dev id:73225
New offsets (Compass 2) are
x:-3.550 y:-8.477 z:44.137 dev id:131594
2) Compass Motor Calibration:
New values have been stored
X:-0.0384255 Y:-0.00644426 Z:0.00695559
3) Accelerometer Calibration:
Offsets[0]: 8.98 -0.23 -0.40
Scaling[0]: 0.01 0.53 0.32
Offsets[1]: 1.21 1.08 1.07
Scaling[1]: 1.01 1.00 1.03
Calibration FAILED
This seems to be the problem. Doesn't matter how many times I try, FAILED.
I hope you might have some insight into this type of problem? software or hardware?
Secondly, with APM open, I notice my flight data shows 10 degrees from horizon in both pitch and roll, which would explain the slight drift in flight.
Is that a problem that gets corrected with a good accelerometer calibration? or is there another way to fix that? manually?
Are problems like this something that is consistent with this product? Should I expect the need to calibrate this frequently?
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much for your time.
