  • Hello,

I am an aviation specific insurance broker. I work with all of the highest rated aviation insurance companies (there are currently about eleven of them). As of right now, there are three aviation insurance companies that offer policies for UAVs (AIG Aerospace, Global Aerospace, and United States Specialty Insurance Company). I can offer hull and liability coverage or liability only. These policies are for commercial operators, not pleasure only flyers. If you would like more information, please contact me at the email address below.

There are 2 types of pilots.  Those that have crashed and those that have yet to crash.  ;-)

  • I would definitely recommend insurance if it's legit, especially if this is a business asset that you'd like to protect. I don't know anything about these AerialPak guys though. Before you know it we may see Gecko commercials offering drone insurance.

If you don't mind me asking, what octo platform did you purchase? I've been looking at a few options and am curious what you decided.

  • Sounds pretty reasonable considering that you could loose that much from one crash, and it's pretty likely you'll crash at some point.
