Sounds pretty reasonable considering that you could loose that much from one crash, and it's pretty likely you'll crash at some point.

Those insurance guys must not really know what they're doing, or they have a lot of fine print. Seems to me that just the liability should be about that much.
They're going to attract people flying $5-10k thermal cameras, and I highly doubt that knowing you're fully insured is going to encourage more cautious flying.

I would definitely recommend insurance if it's legit, especially if this is a business asset that you'd like to protect. I don't know anything about these AerialPak guys though. Before you know it we may see Gecko commercials offering drone insurance.
If you don't mind me asking, what octo platform did you purchase? I've been looking at a few options and am curious what you decided.
