Iris+ drifting in loiter! Help!

Hi! I posted about this once before, but I am still having the same problem where my Iris+ drifts in loiter.  It is ONLY moving backwards.  If i rotate the quadcopter, it keeps trying to go backwards.  I have reflashed everything, calibrated the compass, accel, radio, sticks....I don't know what to do next!

I attached my log from a short flight earlier.  ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

  • Adam,

I had the same problem only drifting to the left. I calibrated my TH9X radio and that took care of it - for a while. It shifted to the right and I had calibrate my TH9X radio again. I've had to do this about three times. There really is an output from the radio causing it to drift until you trim it out. Look at your indicators on the radio for position and check to be sure no trim is dialed in on the radio.

This is my second TH9X radio, the first behaved the same way, only on throttle. I looks like yours may be on the pitch. I haven't looked at the logs and not sure which point you would look at - maybe ATT Despitch and pitch. Hope this helps.

In my opinion I think these radios are flaky.

    • Hi Alan,

Thanks for the reply.  I 3702542743?profile=originalHere are my logs comparing ATT Despitch and pitch.  They seem to line up nicely.  My Radio is calibrated (the trim is zero'd out and I did a stick calibration....)

      • Adam,

Have you tried over on the IRIS+ owners Facebook page? There appears to be a lot of knowledgeable folks trolling that site. I'm an IRIS+ newbie and I've learned a lot over there also. Hope you get it figured out!

        Alan
