I'm working on a drone project and we are trying to see if it is possible to program a 3dr Solo drone to do the following:

  1. Fly in an automated grid search pattern at a specified height (1.5 to 2 meters) over a square kilometer area.

  2. Take photos ever 2 meters or continuous video

  3. For each photo or video frame, record the corresponding GPS coordinates and the height of the drone above the ground.

I'm very new to drone programming, but I'm curious how easy it is to interface with an off-the-shelf 3dr Solo drone and program a flight path in that way. We are interested in purchasing very soon as we'd like to test deploy the end of the next week, so any advice is much appreciated. Thank you!
