Is KV/Rush OSD better than minimosd firmware?

I had a look at http://fpvlab.com/forums/showthread.php?24144-KV-OSD

and https://code.google.com/p/rush-osd-development/

It seems that KV/RushOSD will give me more data, like knowing how many mAh I used, or maybe even show me voltage from a secondary battery.

From those who have tried it, are there any reasons not to use KV and stick with minimosd-extra?

Thanks

Marc

  • Miguel at MinimOSD-Extra is working on the 2nd battery right now. The MAV message for it hadn't existed until Tridge added it to the latest beta.
    • Awesome, thanks.

  • minimosd-extra can also display mAh used, not sure about the secondary battery (as most avoid that mess)  - but otherwise, I see no big difference..  to mee, it seems MinimOSD is easier to configure, and it's multi-screen option is a advantage.

you should just try and make your own opinion, weel free to share your findings then.

    • It looks like I have an old version of minimosd-extra which didn't show battery used, I'll try re-downloading it to see if I get newer firmware, thanks for the info.
