Issue with APM1 Mavlink heartbeat

Hey guys,

I did some searching on the forums but I could not find any answers.

I got an apm1 for Christmas from my wife. I soldered it up last night, then installed the flight planner software. I updated the firmware but now the mav cannot make a connection and says there is no heartbeat.

I am running windows 7 and have all the latest downloads from diy drones download page.

Season Two of the Trust Time Trial (T3) Contest has now begun. The fourth round is an accuracy round for multicopters, which requires contestants to fly a cube. The deadline is April 14th.
