jDrones IO Board Possibilities...

 

Is it possible to use the jDrones IO Board to power on/off +5V components on your Drone?

Like, with a flick of a switch on the Transmitter. Be able to turn on/off your 3DR Telemetry Radio or OSD as you don't need both when using one or the other. Even perhaps your Sonar. This would be very useful.

If the unit can power on LEDs, then I can't see why not.

    Indeed you can. I'm using an Arduino Mini-pro which the IO-Board is based on to control a cameras IR function.

    This board in-turn is connected to one of the radio channels for remote controlling.
