Jjrc h36 receiver board get no power.

I know this is a toy drone, (but a fun one) any I've flown it a handful of times and now when I plug in any batter there is no power to the receiver board, nothing happens at all but if I reverse the polarity (probably a bad idea) to the top of the board where the battery connector is then all the motors spin up. One of the batteries does smell burnt so I'm thinking I have fried the receiver board.Would anyone care to agree with me or have another idea?Don't fancy buying another board from china and waiting 6 weeks just to use the thing.Does the board looked fried? I'm thinking the little dot by the battery solder is dead :/Thank you

  • Thankfully it was my own fault for using a butane soldering iron to mount a wifi fpv cam on and I must of burnt the board out holding the soldering iron the wrong way. The drone its self is really good for £17 and a fun flyer. I will have to invest in an electric iron so I don't go around burning everything. Aha

Yeah, that's the beauty of these small machines. It's hard to tell the damage exactly without having the board in front of you but it looks toasted and going by your description it's more than likely terminal (considering the cheap replacement :-)
  • Thought as much, ahh well £6 from china isn't bad and it gives me a reason to put better motors on I suppose.

It really looks like you need a new board, sorry!
