Hi all

I am new to the forum and new to UAV's.  I am trying to put together a program to implement for a couple of main functions.  SWAT and Search and Rescue.  I have 12 years in law enforcement 11 on SWAT.  I live in a VERY remote part of the country that is well known for the great outdoors.  We have many SAR calls throughout the summer and I feel that the right UAV would be very useful.  We also specialize in man tracking.  Due to our remote area, it is very common for people to take off running from us through the hills upon being chased.  We teach agencies from all over the country both State and Federal (including Border Patrol) the art of man tracking.  Two years ago while on a track, my partner and I confronted an armed suspect resulting in my partner being shot and killed.  We are ALWAYS looking at improving our tactics and techniques.  I believe that with the properly equipped UAV, my partner would still be alive.

I would like for some help.  I would like a UAV that has the capabilities to broadcast video from as far away as possible.  So first question...how far would that be?  

It might be easiest for me to describe what I'm looking for specifically and if you are able to help me you can contact me directly.

UAV FPV from as far away as possible, long flight time (possibly solar power supply), control of UAV from Google Earth, launch of the UAV from iphone or ipad (this is not critical).
