I'm new to electric motors and I've read lots of horror stories about charging LiPO's, so excuse the noob question.
I just received my ZIPPY Flightmax 2200mAh 3S1P 30C LiPO and IMAX B6-AC charger for my quad but none of the connectors that came with the charger plug into the XT60 connector on the battery. I bought some spare XT60 Male/Female connectors, am I supposed to just cut one of the connectors off that came with the charger and solder on one of my spares? or did I screw up and cannot charge this battery with this charger?
OK, thanks. I replaced the connector and am now charging my battery.
A couple more questions:
1) How do I know what current to charge at? Currently set at 0.1A (no pun intended?)
2) How do I know when my battery is done charging? will it automatically stop charging?
set the battery type to Lipo
Set the cell count to 11.1 (3cell)
set the size to 2200mah
This would normally set the charge rate to 1C 2.2amp
If it dosent then just set your amp rate to 2.2amp
hope this helps
It looks to me that you have a balancer on that charger. if so then connect your balancing plug into the charger, this will keep the 3 cells at the same volatge through out the charge cycle.
perfect, worked like a charm, thanks.
