hi guys, im putting my hexa spider through a weight loss program at the moment as im trying to find a good place to mount my board, does the board need to be in the COG, the cog for the hexa is near the back and i want to mount it forward a bit, is this going to be a problem

Permalink Reply by Jan Vervoorst on December 15, 2011 at 3:28pm I have implemented the complementary filter algorithm used on APM in Matlab/Simulink in order to test the performance. When shifting the IMU sensor location away from the center of gravity, the measured accelerations are greatly magnified, but the attitude angles computed by the complementary filter algorithm don't change by much.
Meaning the currently implemented code seems to be very robust to sensor position, you do not have to place your board in the center of gravity.
