I am new to building UAV. I was wondering is it safe to add main power switch instead of using power connectors to power on/off? Something like this one:
As I can understand, the common way to switch on or off the copter (or another rc) is to plug on/off power wires to the battery, why noone uses simple switches? What is the reason?

I think the main reason is that the can fail, and anything removed is one less thing to fail. They can also be knocked on hand launching etc.
That said, there are some switch solutions out there.
