I hope this is the right place to ask...
I just began building my hexacopter from 3D, and got to the step of connecting the APM2, installing the aircraft firmware and connecting to the Mission Planner.
Well, everything worked up to the connecting. The error message says:
"Mavlink 1.0 Heartbeat. Please upgrade your mission planner. This program is for Mavlink 0.9"
I go to the downloads page on code.google.com and download "MissionPlanner64-1.1.96.msi". Great - it's only two hours old. But after installing "MissionPlanner64-1.1.96.msi", I get the same Mavlink error.
Even though the msi filename implies Version 1.1.96, what gets installed is Version 1.1.92.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

In the folder where it installed you will find two executables, one with "10" in the name, one without. Run the one with 10 in the name (ArdupilotmegaPlanner10.exe)
