my name is Luca and i'm from Italy.
I own a DIY 4Copter with APM 2.5 and OSD of course.
This is the first time i get into a forum seeking for help... but THIS time is for me very, very tricky.
Premise: i didn't use the OSD Extra firmware because there was no way to make it works (characters remain unintelligible. I tried to tweak with parameters in mission planner without success because the default values repopulate automatically ) and this could be first problem... but i installed the older 2.0 firmware from "Arducam-OSD" repository and it works.
12V on analogic side and 5V on digital side. No issue during update of firmware and ChaSset via FTDI cable. It correctly fires up and the overlay is soon clearly visible on screen.... except for 2 icons: the "house" icon used for "Home Distance" and the big white rotating arrow used for "Home Direction". No errors or "strange characters", they simply don't come up....
I tried to nearly empty the panel arguing for a "too much data" issue without solution.
The are cleary visible on the panel when i download the configuration via FTDI and they are not hidden by other characters.
Any other icon works fine! :(
Anyone could help?

Sorry for the Labyrinth movie quote... but this is as i feel now :)
Problem totally solved... and there was no true problem :) Home Direction and Home Distance ONLY populate when GPS 3D is achieved. Not only the value is missing but the complete string. I was in my BatCave where i have no GSM signal, let alone GPS... i went out, sunny day, clear sky... 9 GPS sats... ready to go!
MinimOSD 2.0 and standard character set. Beautiful.
