I've been using the minim OSD with a GoPro Hero 2 w/ APM 2.5 board and 900Mhz telemetry unit now for a while with no problems I recently noticed that when I started up the gear the image coming through shows "static" in in the majority of the overlay but the video underneath is still visible. If I reroute the video signal to the OSD directly to the video transmitter the static is no longer there, along with no OSD. This made it clear to me the problem isn't with my Vtx, Vrx, or camera, but with the OSD board. I'm worried I somehow may have damaged the board (no idea how). Anyways, any help would be very much appreciated as the OSD is pretty much useless as of now.
The attached image shows the OSD problem as seen on mission planner overlay. (Ignore the green static underneath). The problem is independent of the Vrx used. I tried it on both a Immersion RC Uno receiver and on the built in receiver on a set of fat shark predator goggles.

Problem solved! I updated the firmware to the latest version I could find (January 30, 2013). I powered the board with a 3 s lipo during firmware flashing and simply disabled the +5v from the FTDI cable. Still not sure what prompted the problem in the first place, but at least now I know how to fix it if it ever pops up again.
