Hey guys, newb question, I am wondering what you would recomend for a Tx and minimum # of channels?.
I am too impatient to wait for a turnigy, as they ore out of stock, and will probably buy a Tx from a local hobby shop. I of course want some flexibilty to add various led light configs, and eventually FPV using apm etc. I am not sure what or how many channels I would need. May I ask for some guidence in Tx selection?
The quad I am getting has a 6 ch spectrum reciever, Obviously if I wanted a 9 ch TX I qould need a 9 Ch reciever to access all the channels, but I want to be able to expand later on, so I am sot so concerned about Rx as I am getting the right Tx the first time out.
Seems many functions are handled by APM and software like telem etc. How does this effect the number of channels I need?

You should get the TH9x v.2 Mode2 if you want to have more than the 6 Spectrum channels. This remote is cheap and you can get it at hobbyking.com.
I have used it for the last 5 years. It's still working like a charm.

I the 6 channels reccomended by Ardu copter manual include a channel for the telemtry data
from APM 2?

Telemtry yes, I have APM 2 board on its way, does telem ust a seperate channel?
Does APM control the til pan using a seperate channel for exmple or does it send all data (telem/ cam pan tilt) through a single channel?
No help yet, I know that it is a minimum of six channels for ardu coptor, let me make the question even simpler, ANY ADVANTAGES gained by additional channels? Or are any additional features requiring additional channels with APM 2?
