Mission Planner 1.1.48 + BlueSmirf + Windows 7 Connectivity problems

Hi,

Don't know if this is the right place to post this bug I found. Anyway, when trying to connect to a BlueSmirf module from sparkfun the Mission Planner will show a garbage character after the COM port number. It changes every time I select the popup.

It looks like this garbage character is keeping the planner from being able to open the incoming Bluetooth SPP port. With much nashing of teeth I can get the Arduino editor serial port monitor to connect to it (gah. BT on W7 is terrible!), but not the planner.

I've done a bunch of googling and mostly what I see people doing is throwing up their hands in frustration and going back Xbee modules. For some reason, I'd like to use BT.

Anyone gotten this working?

Thanks in advance!
