I tried to use Google Maps too but was unsuccessful. Instead of it install Google Earth so the plugin comes ready to use. All you have to do is go to your logs folder and double click on any .kmz file. It should open your logged path on the map.
The two great geeks of my geek show did this just a while ago in their episode 79 (Episode 79 - APM Data Logging).
heres the link to google earth
I have problem with a proper display of the log path (kmz file) in google earth. I can see some coloured dots on the google earth screen and I suppose there are lon and lat coordinates in the time intervals but they are not joined with the line and they are not connected with the third coordinate which is z (alt), so I cannot see the 'ledder" of my flight above the ground. Can someone point me if there is a problem with my GPS configuration or a GE propties? Attaching my logs. Thanks in advance. Brt
ok. already got it! thanks :)
I was having a similar problem, and like you, I ended up figuring it out. At least in my copy of Google Earth ("GE"), these were NOT the default settings. For those who don't care to fool with it, here is what worked for me:
Thanks for your reply Bruce. As you said, the problem was a GE displaying configuration and all is ok now. Brt
I am facing the same issue that BertzillAvionics was facing.
I tried the solution that is provided by Bruce but it is not working for me. I am also getting the dots. After trying bruce's solution, I am getting the lines but everything of same color. I want everything, all the different modes in different colors. Also, I want to know how to read the data provided in it.
I mean, I want to check the altitude at a particular point but it is not showing me that or may be I am not able to find it.
What are all the things that I want to check are,
1) Roll at a particular point
2) Pitch angle at a particular point
3) Altitude at a particular point
4) Speed at a particular point (Its OK if I get the ground speed and not the airspeed)
At least I want these things with different color codes for different modes.
How can I get this? Can anyone please help me with this?
Thank you in advance.
