Mission Planner on Linux

Hi, I'm trying to install Mission planner on Ubuntu 14.04 and not having much luck, I've followed the instructions on this thread: http://diydrones.com/profiles/blogs/apm-planner-2-0-rc2-on-raspberry-pi and had no luck at all, I cant get the first step done.

I don't really want to be using linux, and have a laptop with windows 8 on however I can't seem to get the drivers to work at all, I get them 'successfully' installed but the computer doesn't seem to want to talk to my APM

  • Go for APM planner, but should you need to run mission planner in Linux, then the required prerequisite are listed here: https://github.com/diydrones/MissionPlanner/blob/master/Readme.txt
In both cases, "drives" will never be a problem.

Mark, I think you're confusing APM Planner with Mission Planner. APM Planner is cross-platform and the Linux (and Mac and Windows) versions are here. The link you mentioned is for APM Planner, not Mission Planner.

Mission Planner is Windows-only, although it can be run on Linux under Mono.

    • Ah, yes I was.. thank you, hopefully this fixes my problems
