Motors refuse to start

I have two motors driven by Turnigy Multistar 30 Amp BLHeli Multi-rotor Brushless ESC 2-6S V2.0.
Connected via a Y-cable to the Pixhawk port 3.

When everything is connected and the system is powered up the motors refuse to start when armed.
If I detach the cable and reconnect the Escs, when the system in on, they are initiated and will run.

Does anyone have a clue? I guess I'm the only one seeing this.

Thought is was a BEC issue so I removed the red cable from one of the EScs with the same result.
Is there a diffenence in Esc initiation when powering on compared the reconnection or is this some type of timing issue.

They run perfectly connected the the Graupner receiver.

My copter runs perfectly with Turnigy Multistar Escs so I find this a lot confusing

Thanks

Anders

  • Anyone?

It cannot be any big difference for the V2 version of Multistar as they work directly from the receiver.
I have not been able to get the motors start after Throttle arming on the Pixhawk

Installed the switch and enabled BRD_SAFETYENABLED. No change!
Disconnect and reconnect cables from the Mutlistar esc doesn't help as I first thought.

I currently have no clue how to solve this.

    Thanks

    • Found the cause!
The Pixhawk seems unable to drive two Escs connected with a Y-cable. As soon I disconnect the RC line to one of the Escs the remaining motor will start.

Is the RC signal drive capacity lower on the Pixhawk than on a Graupner RC receiver?
