Hi all,

I have a Spektrum AR500 that I want to mount in my EZ*. Does anyone have pictures of how they mounted their receiver in an EZ*?

I'm sure there are a lot of photos on here where you can see receiver's mounted in EZ*, just click the 'view all' then search easystar. MInes one of them but it's rough and ready. The ones by Jordi seem to show how to do it properly.
James,

I took your advice, but unfortunately there were no really good examples of EZ* receiver installation that were useable in my case. Unfortunately the Spektrum AR500 receiver has a unique antenna that makes it hard to install in a normal model aircraft. One antenna is 1" long and the other is 9" long and must physically end perpendicular to the 1" antenna and be at least 2" away.

I think that I will mount the AR500 on one side of the cockpit and thread the 9" antenna out a hole in the bottom of the cockpit and then run the remainder of the antenna aft in a slit in the fuse and finally, make a right turn across the long axis of the fuse with the last 2" of the antenna. This will meet the requirment of being a minimum of 2" from the short antenna and ending perpendicular to the short antenna.

However, I did find a nice Ardupilot/Shield cockpit cover installation that might work for me when I go to install my Ardupilot in my EZ*.
