You can edit it still. It will get re-approved.
But I very much doubt any mod edited it. Most likely it got botched in your authoring process, some artifact of Ning or your browser or the edit JavaScript not playing well together.

Many mods barely browse the posts before they approve, some don't even read them, as you can tell when they have no image/media (a hard requirement.)

I know many of the mods, and I don't know one of them who has any interest in mangling your posts.
