My Hexacopter went crazy during autopilot mission

Hi,

could someone please check my telemetry log file (an attachment) and tell me what what a heck happened during my simple autopilot mission.

I created mission where was 15 waypoints, altitude 100m and speed is 5m/s.

Some information below.

1. First symptoms appears on waypoint 6. There was some odd extra circles near the waypoint. Why the copter is doing extra turn even its already correctly heading to waypoint 7.

2 After waypoint 9 things starts get interesting. Copter is heading nicely towards waypoint 10 but never reach it. For some reason copter gets crazy, motors draw over 70A, altitude is decreasing rapidly, copter is heading somewhere but not to waypoint 10 anymore.

3. I took control and switched STABILIZE mode. After my heart calm down a little I activated RTL. In that mode copter was coming to home but quite fast and with full (half) power. Well, eh, maybe I was still in some kind of shock so I activated STABILIZE mode and take my baby softly down.

From attached telemetry log you are able to see a battle between me and my hexacopter. These telemetry logs are great, but how you can find out what went wrong during flight, from the logs.

  • Case solved. Copter tuning was the problem. LOITER mode was not working correctly. I made COMPASSMOT setup and after that copter was stabile during next autopilot mission.
