Hello to everybody, I have such a big problem with my quad copter because it doesn't take off at all. Even with maximum throttle, nothing, motors spinning but it won't take off.

My quad copter configurations is:

APM 1

4 x NX-4008-620kv Brushless Quadcopter Motor

            http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=...

4 x ESC Turnigy 25A

Props: 9x5 gws

Battery: Zippy 3s 11,1V 4000

It is a custom frame that weights with all the electronics on it about 1.3 kg or 2.87 pounds

I want to mention that the copter is X frame orientation, all the props are blowing air downside, direction of the motors is correct, 2 pusher props and 2 puller props. Would be very grateful for any kind of information that could help me with this flying machine.

Thank you for your time

Are you sure the props aren't on upside down? They'd still be blowing air down, but it would be very inefficient. I think on GWS props the lettering is supposed to be on the top.

Those are also very small motor/props. The smallest we recommend fora standard-size frame is 850 motors on 10" props.

Exactly, the lettering on GWS props are on top and I put them with the lettering on top.

Do you mean that the motors are also small for standard-size frame or just the props are inadequate for 620 motors?

I ordered 12" props to try with those motors. Thanks for the quick reply.

620 motors are very small for a standard frame. How did you choose them?

I was looking on Hobbyking and found description and specs for NX-4008-620kv motors. It says:

If you are serious about your quad-copters performance, then look no further than the NX4008.

It was designed from the ground up for quad copters.

So I guess that this was crucial when I ordered these motors. Will try with another motors. Thx
