Hi,

I'm new to this forum and I'm also new to quadcopters. I have been fascinated by them for a long time now though and then it struck me. The perfect theme for my university thesis - quadcopter design

So now that I have a great reason to buy my first quadcopter to get to know them better I need some help with choosing the right one.

First of all I'd like to spend no more then $350 for this one since it will only be my first drone with which I'll learn to fly it and get to kno i t a bit.

It would be pretty cool if it had a camera too. I was looking at the Parrot AR 2.0 Power Edition since its under $350 and even has a camera.  Only potential problem is that it is controlled by an iPhone and the one drone I will try to design will probably be controlled by regular rc remote.

I'd also like to be able to disassemble the drone so that I could see what all parts it is made of -  to do some reverse engineering.

I was also looking at the Nine Eagles Galaxy Visitor 6 RTF

I was also thinking of making a whole DIY drone already but I think I should get a one that is working first..

So please tell me if you have any suggestions what is the best quadcopter for this price that would fit my needs.

If there are many active memebers on this forum I'd like to use it in the future while writing the thesis to ask for some questions and find solutions for my problems..

Cheers

  • You could look into getting the "Hubsan 61170-02 4 Channel 2.4GHz RC Quad Copter with 720p HD Camera (Green/Black)"
