It took much research, I got it to work with Arduino 1.0.  I am certain that if you follow the direction, it would not work.  The google group is in german.  Is there one in english?

Sorry, the link was wrong https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!forum/phone-drone-adk The group is called "phone-drone-adk" if you want to search it yourself, Google groups just tried to speak german with the link, the posts should be in English.

So did you make it work with Arduino 1.0? If so, You propably had to change the USBAccesory and USBHost library code, is there a chance to find this on Github or GoogleCode?

I used the USBHost library 2.0 in order to make it work.  But you have to make changes to the library in accordance to the fine print.  It ask you to uncomment some lines in MAX XXXXX library if you are using 2560.

I trying to send messages from android to the phonedrone board for servos.  Do you have any experience?

Yes but its part of the instruction depending on the chip you are using.
