Hi All
I am a total newbie to this hobby, no equipment yet!!
I am very interested in building a multi rotor, this is what I want to achieve;
Extended fly time (30 to 40 mins?)
GPS capability, auto hover, mission planning.
Handle gusty wind conditions.
Camera gimbal, video, forward facing camera for flight navigation
Video view at ground control, marking of way points & tracks from control station.
Good range from control point.
I am sure there is other stuff that I need but don't know it yet!
I am looking for some sort of recommendation for a kit from where to start this project, possible budget $1000, less would be great??
I have no idea about the programing stuff so will need a bit of advise on this!! maybe some advise on what I should be studying to get a better Idea.
I am quite handy so the actual build should be fine.
Is there somewhere I could do a follow along with a build with very similar outcomes??
Any help in this matter would be welcome, added links would help too.
cheers

Hi Paul
Well don't we all start out with a bit of a wish list? don't we need a bit of an idea about what we want to achieve?
Nice rhetoric "some sort of hovering fixed wing breadboarded contraption" mate! I thought I outlined that it will be a multi rotor not interested in a fixed wing!
I know there is a huge amount of info here & that my friend is part of the problem!! knowing where to start & what to read, as I am sure you realise not all the information here is relevant to what I am trying to do.
I am not sure of what size kit frame I need to be looking at to house the items I may need to achieve the outcomes, I think it is a matter of getting the power to weight ratio sorted but also being able to add stuff.
Any actual helpful suggestions?? Like I said I am reasonably handy & not lack in skills, but my Tech knowledge is not great.
cheers

Hi All
Any advice here would be great, I really don't know what kits I should even be looking at to achieve these outcomes.
Anyone?
