Good morning,

I'm working with SolidWorks,  I designed my own product of an Hexacopter Y shape.

The problem is that my Hexa can not fly, I'm using APM2 with GPS, check the below link :

I'll try to give you more informations.

I downloaded this program for APM2 from the link below :

If you excute this program, the window will apear (photo1 attached), if you click on firmware there are many pictures of flight versions, but there is not my configuration (new design which I done).

If I use, for example the Hexa configuration (Arducopter V2.5.4 Hexa) for my arducopter, it will not work. while, I want my arducopter flight in forward but unfortunately it turn right.

So I need to modify the program to applyed for my Hexa, it's possible?

The Y6 configuration could be more suitable for your setup.  Note which way the APM is pointed.  Think of yours as a Y6 with the motors side-by-side instead of one under the other.  You'll need to have a mixture of motor directions/propellors similar to the Hexa. 

Turning right probably means that Yaw control is not OK.  If you have the correct propellors turning in the correct directions, then this is often caused by motors not connected to the correct outputs on the APM.  Run a test without the propellors.  Hold the Hexa flat and rotate left and right.  Three of the motors should speed up depending on the direction of yaw - e.g. turn the Hexa clockwise and the clockwise spinning motors should increase in speed in an attempt to correct the yaw.

I'm no expert on them, but I understand the 3DR modules have a range of several kilometres depending on antennas, terrain ...

I can almost guarantee that your special Hexa will not fly well at the start using the default APM settings.  It may be very unstable.  There will be tuning required.  So, you cannot just flick to Auto and expect it to follow a path perfectly.  It is highly likely that if you do this, your Hexa will crash.

So, to start, you will need to test the Hexa (without propellors), give it some throttle, swing it around and see if the motor speeds react properly.  Then you need to fly it manually with a Radio Control.  You'll need to carefully fly it, try some gentle moves, see how the Hexa reacts and adjust the tuning to smooth it down.  You may even need to tether the Hexa in some way so it is not destroyed.

As an alternative to Radio Control, there is a way to connect a joystick to the PC and control the Hexa via the telemetry link.  I've never done that, but there are discussions elsewhere where this is described.

Is there a way to get video in the same time of flying in my ground computer ?
