Glow has more vibration, which will diminish IMU performance, but it should otherwise work okay.

@Joshua , Nexstar is a great choice IMHO ( keep the fixed flaps and slates if you have it), I have salvaged the wing from crashed Nexstar & hope to use it in one of pusher UAV soon. The nitro conversion is also some thing i toyed with but seems as expensive as the engine it self. May have to go for 20 c.c gas if it doesn't work out for me. Here r few pic of it I am working on.

Love the conversion, the nose is going to have to be long to get the CG contained there!! looking forward to hearing about the maiden.

It will take some time for me to complete this but I promise to complete it and post every development here first. Nothing spl about it , almost every thing is salvaged or modified, booms are fishing pole converted to HF antenna to tail boom, fuselage is crashed trainer from field and turned backwards, wing is hijacked from one of my old collection, tail is T34 trainer cut into half and fixed end wise using aluminum angle, nose is simple box or tube which can be clipped on, focus is to be able to breakdown almost every thingRight now in middle of shifting my operations else were, but I hope to complete the fuselage atleast before the move in the winter. Right now testing 46 size piper Cub with increasing loads in RC flying mode up to 8-10 pounds of usable payload in standard 60-90 size cub , trying for 2 hours endurance with 70 OS 4 stroke.later : (=)

It's very cool. I like how you're recycling parts from other aircraft. :] I guess you could call me a tree hugger of sorts. I usually never throw a plane away, I'll try to fix it. Even if the restore is impossible. Waste not, I say. ;] Anyway, I've started the modifications to my airframe. This little plane will haul quite a load, so far 9 pounds with no adverse effects. Well, the take off distance has increased by a few meters and so has the landing distance. And it will stall at a slightly higher airspeed. This is all expected though. I will do more testing this weekend if the weather holds out. It's getting more and more windy here. I can't even fly real planes. :\

Joshua , i guess most of us( aeromodeller) never throw hoping that some day some of it might be useful :)))))))))). , So most of my stuff came from my junk room too :) Nothing is more statisfing than building such a model from scrap & crap. ;) Some pictures of your modification will be greatly appreciated. :). cheers
